Rules & Regulations to Entry Pioneer College Library
- Students enter the Library from the Main Entrance located at level 0 only with their vailed Student ID Card.
- Strict silence, decorum and discipline must be maintained in the library.
- Smoking, eating, sleeping, and talking loudly are strictly prohibited in the library. Warning will be issued by the Head Department of the Library.
- Members are requested to see the Library Notice Board for Notifications and Regulations.
- Use of cellphones is also not allowed in the library. Cellphones must be switched-Off or keep on Silence mode.
- Library Documents taken out of the shelves must be left on the table or handover to the library staff on the Counters. Replacing the books on shelves is not encouraged as it may get misplaced and misplaced book is like a lost book.
- Library readers should not mark, underline, dog-ear, write, tear pages or otherwise damage the library documents.
- Newspapers, magazines, and journals must be read only in the library on the entrance and front reading halls and should not be taken to any other reading areas.
- No library document can be taken out of the library without permission. Unauthorized removal of anything belonging to the library will be treated as theft and dealt with accordingly.
- Issued books and bags should be deposited at the Property Counter but at your own risk while using the library. Money, Umbrella, Dresses, Cell Phones, and other costly items should not be kept at the Property Counter. The library staff and the Pioneer College/Library authorities will not be responsible for the loss, if any.
- Issued books are to be returned in time, these can't be re-issued.
- Books can be reserved at the circulation counter.
- Members are expected to leave the library 10 minutes before its scheduled time of closing.
- Anyone who violates the rules and regulations may be debarred from availing the library facilities.
- Suggestions on all aspects, of library services are welcome.
Property Counter Rules
- While entering the library please keep your Issued books, Photocopy material, Files, Registers, Bags, Umbrella, Water bottles etc. at the Property Counter since these items are not allowed inside the library.
- Please do not leave your valuables e.g. Purse, Mobile Phones, Laptops etc. at the Property Counter or at any other place in the library.
The Pioneer College / Library authorities will not be responsible for the loss, if any.
