 Duration: The pharmacy course typically spans five years.

Curriculum: Pharmacy program covers a wide range of subjects such as Pharmacology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacotherapy, Pharmaceutical Calculations and Clinical Pharmacy

Practical Training Opportunities: Students benefit from supervised clinical experiences, allowing them to apply their knowledge in real-world scenarios. These opportunities may take place in hospitals, community pharmacies, or other healthcare settings.

  • For local students
  1. Academic Prerequisites a high school or equivalent qualification for international students is required for admission to the Medicine Program. Students must have completed high school with a strong foundation in science subjects, including biology, chemistry, and physics. Students with additional coursework in mathematics, statistics, and humanities may have an advantage in the selection process.
  2. Passing mark at the Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Qualifying Examination (EHEEQE) as determined by the Ministry of Education (currently >50% i.e. >350/700) from Natural Science Stream OR,
  3. Holds BSc degree in a health science field and graduated with a CGPA of 2.75 for female and 3.0 for male.
  4. Has the passion and determination to study and practice medicine
  5. Considering the extensive practical attachment of the program student with major disabilities (vision, mobility and hearing related problems or those who can’t effectively use their hands) shall not be admitted to the program.
  6. Can produce Certificate of Medical Fitness.
  7. Can produce Certificate of Mental Fitness.
  8. Screening interview with the Department of Medicine Council.
  • For international students
  1. Academic Prerequisites: A high school or equivalent qualification for international students is required for admission to the college Program.
  2. Students must have completed high school with a strong foundation in science subjects, including biology, chemistry, and physics.

  4. Holds BSc degree in a health science field and graduated with a CGPA of 2.75 for female and 3.0 for male out of 4.00 points.
  5. Has the passion and determination to study and practice medicine
  6. In addition to the above requirements any foreign qualifications admission is granted only if they provide equivalence from FDRE Education and Training Authority.
  7. In order to get letter of equivalence applicants should follow bellow procedure.
  • Registration Procedure
  1. Begin by paying the amount of service fee to the commercial bank of Ethiopia account number 1000004550165 based on the table and keep the receipt.
  2. Start logging into the https://neta.gov.et/requestverification
  3. Click on “I am eligible and have all the required information” click next.
  4. Enter bank transaction reference number.
  5. Upload the bank transaction receipt.
  6. Fill basic information of yours and click next.
  7. Fill educational information and click next.
  8. Upload all your relevant academic credentials as per the system request and click next.
  9. Review and submit.

Community Pharmacy: Where the graduate student provides patient care, dispense medications, offer counselling.
Hospital Pharmacy: Working closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure safe and effective medication use.
Clinical Pharmacy: Work as part of interdisciplinary healthcare teams, providing medication therapy management, conducting patient consultations, and participating in pharmacotherapy decision-making.
Pharmaceutical Research: Graduates interested may contribute to the development of new medications, conduct clinical trials, or engage in drug safety and efficacy studies.
Academic Careers: Some pharmacy graduates play a crucial role in educating future pharmacists and conducting research in their specialized fields.
Pharmacy Administration: Graduates with strong leadership can become pharmacy managers, directors, or executives in healthcare organizations.

  • For upgrade students (for those who have a diploma)
  1. These students are only allowed to join pharmacy and medical laboratory science
  2. Grade 8 national examinations certificate 2 copies
  3. Authenticated diploma original certificate with 2 copies
  4. Authenticated diploma transcript original certificate with 2 copies
  5. Authenticated Ethiopian General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (EGSECE) original certificate with 2 copies
  6. Authenticated Level 3 certificated of competency (COC) original certificate with 2 copies.
  7. Authenticated Level 4 certificated of competency (COC) original certificate with 2 copies
  8. Two years proven work experience related to their diploma
  9. Authenticated Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Certificate Examination (EHEECE) original certificate with 2 copies

  • Terms and Conditions of payment / Discount

Local students are to make payment to our college bank account as per the Ethiopian bank exchange rate.
12% Discount: Students who pay for the full year of study in a single payment will get 12% discount off the total program fees.
5% Discount: Students who pay two equal installments for the full year of study will get 5% discount off the total program fees.
No Discount: Students who pay three equal installments for the full year of study will not get a discount.

  • International Student

Annual Pre-Clinical Payment 3,700 (USD)
Duration of the Program 1st – 3rd year
Annual Clinical Payment 4,440 (USD)
Duration of the Program 4th – 5th year
Duration of Study 5 years full-time

International students are to make payment to our college bank account in USD currency, in cash or by bank transfer.
12% Discount: Students who pay for the full year of study in a single payment will get 12% discount off the total program fees.

No Discount: Students who pay three equal installments for the full year of study will not get a discount.
